Official Import Rules

Sri Lanka requires an ISO microchip, rabies vaccination (at least 30 days old), and an import permit from DAPH (Department of Animal Production & Health) — apply at least 4–6 weeks before travel. A government-endorsed veterinary health certificate issued within 10 days of travel is required. FVRCP vaccination recommended. All imported dogs undergo a 30-day quarantine at a government facility on arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB).
