Morocco

Vet requirements, breed rules, airline realities and what happens at the border · updated 2026-02-15

Official Import Rules

Morocco requires an ISO microchip, current rabies vaccination (at least 21 days old), and a government-endorsed veterinary health certificate issued within 10 days of travel. A rabies titer test may be required for dogs from certain countries. ONSSA (Office National de Sécurité Sanitaire des Produits Alimentaires) inspects animals on arrival. An import permit is not strictly required for personal pets but ONSSA approval is recommended. Documents should be in French or Arabic, or accompanied by a certified translation.
